Fledge is the stage in a young bird’s life when the feathers and wing muscles are sufficiently developed for flight. Before that, she waits patiently for her mother to come back to the nest for feed.
I was watching this movie where the protaganist was reflecting with guilt how his father turned alcoholic after the mother left them, then died not due to liver cancer, but of a stroke during a quarrel with him. Not all parents know how to nurture their child, but all deserves a chance to learn…
She measures 4.5cm on the longer side.

I love the straightforward candy-ness of these 2! They are sorta vintage acrylic (I dunno how old though), thus there maybe some imperfections (but no scratches) I also stuck the ring slightly slanted for the vanilla one, so if u are picky about details, do not adopt!
Vanilla adopted by Jojo. Strawberry adopted by Louise.

Although the materials are from Japan, she juz gives me an oriental feeling. Thus the name, Ching… No remakes. I’ve only got one of the acrylic heart.

Quite a long time since I last posted smthg in the wee hours eh? Heehee… I had to rest early for the past few weeks juggling between 2 jobs. Decided to give myself a one week long break from the Bugis stint starting from today.
Though mentally and physically drained, the experience was worth it.
I remembered started beading last year, sometime during Nov. My first outdoors was at IBP. I hardly made enough to cover rental. As I continue with more fleas (SMU, Lime etc…), experienced with more jewelry & web designing techniques, the accounts gets more balanced, and more colorful stories unfold…
I’ve met poor students who scrimped and saved juz to buy a customised pair of earrings for her friends’ birthday, another who wanted a pair to juz cheer her out-of-love friend up, lady who bought 2 pairs of earrings from me & 2 pairs from my friend at Lime flea cos she is emigrating overseas soon & won’t get to buy any of these then~ another lady who is migrating to Paris~ Customisations for a grown-up who still hasn’t out-grow her love for fairytales, husband who secretly turned back and bought the necklace his wife was eyeing at the shop, the gal who swears she will be building a shrine to house all the collections she got from me… etc etc….
I’m slightly embarrassed yet touched when I see customers wearing the adopted babies to meet me, I love to hear the exclamations & sparkle in the eyes of someone when she sees a baby she likes~ I love the smiles, the generosity of someone who simply wanted something as a gift for a dear friend/lover/family or, simply as a pat on the back for oneself.
Thank you for coming back so many times, for the trust & patience, fervour & love. It’s nice knowing a seemingly selfish interest, snowballed into so many pieces of happiness. And if u are still reading up to this point, thanks for listening…
