Q: What materials do u use?
A: I work with rhodium silver, 14K gold, antiquegold, charms, swarovskis etc. Swarovskis are beautiful precise-cut crystal glass and are more expensive than normal beads. Rhodium is a highly reflective and hard wearing precious metal used to plate jewellery to prevent tarnish. I use 14K gold plated chains/charms though it has less gold content compared to 18K and 24K~ cos usually the more gold contained, the more yellowish it will look. Most gold charms I used are 14K gold plated.
Q: How do I prevent my babies from tarnishing?
A: Sad to say, ALL jewellery will tarnish overtime. However, U can slow down the process by taking proper care. As I use rhodium silver, DO NOT use silver dips or silver polishing cloths as it’ll wear off the rhodium quickly. Simply wipe with a soft damp cloth. Keep away from chemicals-swimming pools, perfume, air (will cause oxidation). If you have to wash them, note that you need to dry them off thoroughly. Toothpaste is an inexpensive cleaner but contains abrasive chemicals that will breakdown the surface. For my babies, a soft damp cloth will do the trick. If they do tarnish, anti tarnish cloth will work for light tarnishes. An alternative will be to replace them with a new one, juz ask me~
Minor replacements like broken jumprings, hooks are free of charge.
Q: Help! I’ve sensitive skin! But I want to adopt one!
A: 925 Sterling silver hooks and chains are available upon requests. Do note it’ll cost slightly more though.
Q: How do I store my babies?
A: The easiest way will be to keep them in airtight mini ziplock bags. That’s to keep them away from air and other oxidization catalysts.
