Touched…

I’ve been deeply touched by quite a few customers before. It maybe your kind and simple words, (eg. Winnie, Tracy etc..) your aggressive recommendations of AAE to other friends (eg. Dehui, Mic etc..), your heartwarming stories (Lynn, Grace..) There’s so many names that’ve become familiar to me though I’ve only met you once or twice or probably never even seen u before.

You probably became as familiar to some names here. One of the longest standing and ardent supporter is BL. She touches me in more ways than one because she never fails to say a nice word or two and is not afraid to voice out her honest opinion on how AAE was run.

In wordpress, you get to see some of the webbies that linked you to their blog, and I saw BL’s AAE collection. Firstly, I was awed, then I was deeply moved. As I clicked on the pics one by one, I became detached like a stranger, watching each piece with criticism. Some babies were very old and I can see that my techniques were quite different then.

I’ve found the materials for the remake of Violette ii again!

Except for the lace (still didn’t find exact match), I’m able to re-do this beautiful baby, so leave me a comment if you wanna order!

 

You may also be interested in noting that Fie Japan sells a similar piece at a whooping $58! Heh~ My creation came out before theirs hor! Mine was in Sep 2007, fiejapan was in Feb 2008~ :p

 

Jaslin Roze Maiden (adopted)

If you like pink and silver and butterflies, she is for you. Lovingly flourished in pink flowers and beads, the silver flower at the side actually free turns like a windmill.

 

Elynn Damselfly (adopted)

Sweet and natural piece. Silver dragonfly resting on wooden frame, with yellow orchre flower and red corals. U can adjust the ribbon length according to your preference. Only 1, No remake.

And the correct answer is… $29.80!!! Congrats to Elynn for guessing the price closest to what I had in mind! Why this amt, u might ask? Cos if you haven’t already noticed, today is the 29th Feb, LEAP YEAR!

U voted, so here it is! The $300 over earrings one of the parents here proudly own! Heh! Nobody guessed the correct parent though~ She is none other than… Lynn Lee!

Thanks Lynn! For allowing me to put this pic up. This pair of earrings is designed by a Singaporean who went to Japan to learn her craft. There’s pink mesh and swarovskis, freshwater pearls. Her stuff are highly exclusive, I think u can find her brand in Isetan. U can ask Lynn ~ haha~~

But before u jump to any conclusions, no, Lynn is not that rich.  And in fact, Lynn, I’m very proud of u and glad we got acquainted thru my webby. Lynn is a cancer survivor, and a very brave woman too, to go thru all that pain. After the operations, she now lives her life the way she wants, carpe diem! I applaud that spirit, and aren’t u glad she is part of the AAE family? Hahaha~~~ But encouragement aside, Lynn, must control a bit hor? Heh heh~~~

 

Lovey Dovey (An Exclusive, adopted)

My first love came when I’m 24 years old. Before that, I remember thinking: “Is there something wrong with me?” But my dear, let me remind u that,

There is nothing wrong with you.

Love doesn’t come only in the form of a man/woman who promises you marriage/eternity. To celebrate V-Day doesn’t mean expensive dinners/presents/parading the streets with bouquets of flowers ten times the usual price. It means remembering those who cares for you. A respected elder, friends, and even siblings (ha ha, it’s so difficult to love those unlovable, I know) Love is not only for those boy-girl partners, it’s also for any normal being who cares.

There’s so many out there waiting for love, but the one who usually gets neglected, is YOURSELF. So, go on, show yourself some love today. Get off work on time, take a long shower, eat something nice, buy a present for yourself (doesn’t have to be expensive), chat with friends, stop to look up at the sky, SMILE. :) You need an encouragement too, so don’t be shy. Remember to love yourself a little everyday.
